Blacksand is a data intelligence platform for SMB credit. This policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights. We keep this simple because we think privacy policies should be readable.

When you apply for early access, we collect your name, work email, company name, and role. We do not collect payment information, government IDs, or sensitive personal data. We may also collect basic usage data (page views, session duration) through standard analytics tools.
How we use it
We use your contact information solely to communicate about Blacksand—product updates, early access invitations, and relevant announcements. We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties for marketing purposes.
Business data we analyze
Blacksand aggregates publicly available business signals—reviews, job postings, pricing, and online activity—from open web sources. This data relates to businesses, not individuals. We do not collect or store personal data about business owners or employees beyond what is publicly available.
Data storage and security
Your contact information is stored securely using industry-standard encryption. We use reputable third-party services (such as form providers and email platforms) that maintain their own security standards. We retain your data only as long as necessary to provide our services or as required by law.
Cookies and analytics
We use minimal analytics to understand how visitors interact with our site. This may include anonymized session data. We do not use advertising trackers or cross-site tracking cookies. You can disable cookies in your browser settings without affecting core site functionality.
Your rights
You can request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data at any time by emailing us at privacy@blacksand.io. We will respond within 30 days. If you are located in the EU or UK, you have additional rights under GDPR including the right to data portability and the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority.

We use third-party tools including form providers (Tally), analytics platforms, and cloud infrastructure. Each of these services has its own privacy policy. We select partners who maintain reasonable data protection standards.

We may update this policy as our product evolves. Material changes will be communicated via email to registered users. Continued use of our services after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
